Shape, fit and working space
For a useful comparison, record top area, height, footprint and the weight and contact area of each displayed item. Ask whether individual risers nest, stack or stand separately and confirm the intended load with the selected construction.
Plan the arrangement with actual items, not empty blocks alone. Record the footprint of the largest object and its weight, then check whether a tall riser affects sightlines or becomes easy to knock. Ask for the load and stability of each proposed size rather than assuming all heights perform alike.
Material, surface and support
Compare each top surface to the item it must hold, and ask for the rated load and base footprint of each proposed height. Confirm whether pieces nest for storage or are intended to stack in use.
Handling and care
Remove merchandise before moving a riser and protect edges from knocks. Request care instructions for the quoted material; do not assume cleaners safe for another surface will be suitable.
