Shape, fit and working space
For a useful comparison, record seated height, seat width, knee reach and the cut of trousers when bent. Send the dimensions and material of the intended bench or platform and ask how the form is supported.
Coordinate the form with the intended seat and sightline, then check the fall of trouser fabric at the knee and ankle. A bench edge, armrest or nearby table can obstruct a fixed pose. Provide the seat dimensions and request a drawing of contact points and any additional fixing.
Material, surface and support
Treat the seating surface as part of the installation. Ask for the angle and dimensions of the seat contact area, the support required and whether legs or arms detach to simplify dressing.
Handling and care
Support the torso during relocation and prevent hard edges of the chair from rubbing against the finish. Request the appropriate cleaning and storage method for the proposed surface.
